(non) Toxic Tour of Houston

June 9 @ 9:00 am - 1:30 pm

Event Navigation

Just sit right back and on this three hour bus tour, you’ll hear a tale of air pollution…it’s everywhere you know, but in Houston, they’re doing something about it.  Participants will visit such sites as oil refineries, Galena Park (an environmental justice community), the Manchester Community (known as Houston’s most polluted neighborhood), an air monitoring station and more.  This very special Toxic Tour offers the rare opportunity to have three of Houston’s leading air quality warriors together in one place discussing their collective achievements in the name of fresh air.  They will talk about the impacts of air quality on human health as well as how far they have come over the past 25 years.  The tour includes lunch at Brady’s landing over-looking the Houston ship channel.

Toxic Tour Guides include:

    • Air Alliance Houston
    • HARC
