What is Amplify Austin Day?
Amplify Austin Day is an annual community-wide fundraising event that takes place in Austin, Texas. Organized by the nonprofit organization I Live Here, I Give Here, this 24-hour online giving day aims to support and amplify the impact of local nonprofits and charities. Participants can donate to their favorite causes, ranging from education and healthcare to arts and the environment, through a user-friendly online platform.
The event encourages civic engagement from Austinites and central Texas citizens. It also fosters a sense of community as individuals come together to make a collective impact. Amplify Austin Day has become a significant platform for promoting charitable giving and strengthening the social fabric of the Austin community, showcasing the power of individuals working together for the greater good.
Amplify Austin Day: History
This day of giving has a rich history rooted in community collaboration and philanthropy. The event was launched in 2013 by I Live Here, I Give Here, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating a culture of giving in the Austin, Texas area. During this inaugural event, the community saw widespread participation from local nonprofits, donors, and businesses. Within its 24-hour timeframe, it successfully raised a substantial amount of funds .
Since then, Amplify Austin Day has grown in both scale and impact, becoming an annual tradition that mobilizes the community to support a diverse range of causes. Since 2013, this event has proudly raised $102.7 Million in total for over 1,400 participating nonprofits. The event’s success is a testament to the generosity and commitment of Austin residents, as well as the innovative approach taken by I Live Here, I Give Here in fostering a culture of giving that continues to thrive year after year.
When does Amplify Austin Day take place?
Amplify Austin Day is scheduled for March 6th to March 7th, running from 6:00 PM to 6:00 PM the following day. Participants can contribute to nonprofits through an accessible online platform, amplifying the impact of their donations. It’s a brief yet meaningful window for collective philanthropy, showcasing the city’s commitment to making a positive difference.

This year, EarthShare Texas is participating in the Amplify Austin Day fundraiser for the first time! We’re excited to be spreading the word and educating our community about the work we do through this fundraiser.
EarthShare Texas is a nonprofit federation that supports local environmental and conservation charities across the Lone Star State. Together, we create a collective impact by preserving our natural resources and crafting a healthier Texas for all. By gathering the support of our local community through Amplify Austin Day, we’re excited to continue the work we began over thirty years ago – empowering environmental nonprofits in Texas.

How Can You Participate?
Participating in Amplify Austin Day is easy and accessible. There are specific ways to engage with EarthShare Texas whether as an individual or as a business. Read more about the ways you can join us on or before March 6th below.
As an individual:
Individuals can engage in the event by visiting the official Amplify Austin website during the designated 24-hour period and donating through our fundraiser page. To contribute, you can easily make secure online donations directly through the website. The platform also facilitates easy sharing on social media. This encourages our community to spread the word and amplify the impact of their contributions. Whether donating a small or large amount, every contribution counts towards the collective goal of making a difference in the Austin community.
Individuals can also contribute their time to our organization during this event by becoming a Fundraising Champion for EarthShare Texas. Fundraising Champions are an important part of Amplify Austin Day. By sharing our story and spreading the word about our participation in this fundraiser, you can help us reach our donation goal and gather more supporters across the Central Texas region! As a business:
As a business fundraiser, you can empower your employees to give back to the community where they live, love, work, and play. Your company can also boost employee giving by offering matching dollars during Amplify Austin Day. For example, H-E-B is giving a $10,000 match to nonprofits in the Environment, Conservation and Sustainability cause category, which includes EarthShare Texas!
