Questions and Answers About EarthShare Texas

Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ

How does EarthShare of Texas accomplish its mission?

EarthShare of Texas raises  funds for its members through payroll deduction campaigns, cause marketing campaigns, and individual donations. Members pay an annual due to belong to ESTX.  ESTX must adhere to the same financial standard as its members.  With a small staff and limited overhead, ESTX takes no administrative fee from the funds distributed to its members.  Funds are distributed to members at least quarterly.  All funds are unrestricted which means that members may use the money in any way that best suits the needs of their organizations.

What causes can I support through EarthShare of Texas?

A general donation to EarthShare of Texas will be divided between all of our members.  You may also designate which organization you wish to receive your donation.  Your gift will go to organizations that work to measure and protect air quality, rehabilitate injured animals and birds, conserve land, and protect water quality and watersheds, and much more.

How much of my donation goes to the participating organizations?

More than 95% of all donations go directly to support environmental programs because EarthShare of Texas has one of the lowest overheads of any comparable federation.

How does EarthShare of Texas qualify its participating organizations?
