The Austin Tree of the Year Awards are a city institution. From now until August 31st, nominate your favorite trees in Austin’s public or business spaces!

We have five categories to choose from:
- Small Tree – A tree you can wrap your arms around it
- Large Tree – A big tree you need more than one person to hug it
- Unique Tree – A peculiar-looking or different tree
- Schoolyard Tree – A beloved tree located at school
- Story Tree – A tree that has a significant history behind it or meaningful to you
Voting will take place in the fall, and we’ll provide all nominators with a promotional toolkit to help encourage folks to vote for tree. The five winning trees will be publicly celebrated on Texas Arbor Day in November. Thank you to the City of Austin Parks & Recreation Department and The Still Water Foundation for your support in bringing these awards back!
