Trick or tree-t! (TreeFolks NeighborWoods Free Tree Program)

Trick or tree-t! TreeFolks is giving away 500 free trees, available for pick-up on October 23rd at Northeast Early College High School during the annual Hopefest from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. All trees are 5-gallon in size and must be reserved two-weeks in advance to guarantee that you will receive a tree. Additional trees will be available as supplies last. Once the event is full, email confirmations will be sent.

The TreeFolks NeighborWoods free tree program is a partnership between TreeFolks, the City of Austin and Hopefest. Please bring a Photo I.D, Austin Energy Electricity Bill, or Austin Library Card as proof of residency.

Tree varieties:

  • Large Stature: Bald Cypress, Montezuma Cypress, Cedar Elm
  • Medium Stature: Lacey Oak, Loquat
  • Small Stature: Arroyo Sweetwood, Mexican Plum, Retama
  • Fruit: Asian Persimmon ‘Fuyu’, Pomegranate, Fig ‘Texas Everbearing’
