Panel: Addressing resiliency for San Antonio’s most vulnerable communities
January 13 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
In a city defined by its diverse cultural heritage, DreamWeek bridges the gap between people and ideas with a week of community events focused on addressing resiliency for San Antonio and the city’s most vulnerable populations.
The Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance is excited to join DreamWeek LLC in their mission to celebrate our humanity. By creating environments for civil and civic engagement, we can begin to embrace ideas and dreams for the common good. GEAA will be hosting a panel discussion on addressing resiliency for San Antonio’s most vulnerable communities. They will dive into predicted impacts of climate change, including flooding, heat islands, and air quality.
Panelists will include City of San Antonio and Bexar County staff and elected officials, neighborhood and advocacy groups. Through this panel, we hope to focus attention on how San Antonio and Bexar County are planning to address the impacts of climate change.
Soon, San Antonio will be faced with tough decisions on how to ensure adequate allocation of resources to mitigate the impacts of climate change – join GEAA for a robust discussion of how we might take care of San Antonio’s most vulnerable communities and populations.
The event will also feature tables for GEAA’s 15 San Antonio member organizations who will be on hand to share updates on their latest efforts. RSVP here!
