Putting Down Roots Festival with Coastal Prairie Conservancy

Join the Coastal Prairie Conservancy for our annual Putting Down Roots Fall Planting Festival at the beautiful Indiangrass Preserve. Thanks to our incredible 2024 volunteers, we planted 1,605 native prairie plants and restored a full acre of habitat. In 2025, we’re aiming even higher! Planting runs from 9 AM to 12 PM, with interactive activity stations and refreshments available until 1 PM. We’ll provide all planting supplies, free hot dogs and veggie dogs, and a variety of educational activities for kids and adults. Enjoy live bluegrass music from the Fire Ants String Band.
