Volunteer Workday at the TreeFolks Nursery

Last year TreeFolks embarked on a new project that will greatly enhance their mission and allow them to plant more trees!
They started their own native tree nursery where they are growing saplings and bigger trees in pots. The success of this project will rely heavily on volunteer involvement during both the continuing construction phase, and day-to-day operation. You can help with shade structure construction, soil sifting and mixing, plant bands preparation, seed sorting and cleaning, sowing and transplanting, and more. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the propagation of woody species native to our region while contributing your time and effort to a worthy cause of growing more trees. Please bring a water bottle, dress for working outdoors, and take breaks when you need to!
