EarthShare Texas is seeking passionate leaders to join our Board of Directors beginning in January 2026.
As the governing body of EarthShare Texas, board members play a vital role in shaping our mission, ensuring financial sustainability, and supporting the statewide network of environmental and health nonprofits we serve.
What Board Members Do
- Support and oversee the evolution of EarthShare Texas’ mission and purpose
- Ensure rigorous fiduciary oversight and financial management
- Engage in strategic and organizational planning
- Select and evaluate the executive director
- Participate in implementing the strategic plan
- Fundraise to ensure financial sustainability
- Serve as active advocates and ambassadors for EarthShare Texas
Expectations for Individual Members
Board members are expected to:
- Know EarthShare Texas’ mission, policies, and programs
- Read and be accountable to financial statements
- Make an annual personal financial contribution
- Prepare for, attend, and actively participate in board and member meetings
- Participate fully in one or more committees
- Commit approximately 5 hours per month
The board term is two years, beginning January 2026.
