EarthShare Texas is seeking passionate leaders to join our Board of Directors beginning in January 2026.

As the governing body of EarthShare Texas, board members play a vital role in shaping our mission, ensuring financial sustainability, and supporting the statewide network of environmental and health nonprofits we serve.

What Board Members Do

  • Support and oversee the evolution of EarthShare Texas’ mission and purpose
  • Ensure rigorous fiduciary oversight and financial management
  • Engage in strategic and organizational planning
  • Select and evaluate the executive director
  • Participate in implementing the strategic plan
  • Fundraise to ensure financial sustainability
  • Serve as active advocates and ambassadors for EarthShare Texas

Expectations for Individual Members

Board members are expected to:

  • Know EarthShare Texas’ mission, policies, and programs
  • Read and be accountable to financial statements
  • Make an annual personal financial contribution
  • Prepare for, attend, and actively participate in board and member meetings
  • Participate fully in one or more committees
  • Commit approximately 5 hours per month

The board term is two years, beginning January 2026.
