For a third year in a row, EarthShare of Texas was rewarded by Charity Navigator with a 4-star rating. This certificate signifies EarthShare of Texas’ continuing strength and financial health as well as our commitment to accountability and transparency.
Charity Navigator’s 4-star rating ensures EarthShare of Texas is achieving its mission through best sector practices and financial efficiency. We pride ourselves on providing our nonprofit members with stable, unrestricted funds so that they are empowered to further their important work in land and water conservation, sustainable infrastructure, animal rehabilitation, public space, education, advocacy, and more all across the Lone Star State.
Achieving a 4-star rating three consecutive years places EarthShare of Texas among the most trustworthy nonprofit organizations. In a letter to EarthShare of Texas, Charity Navigator President and CEO, Michael Thatcher wrote, “Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that EarthShare of Texas exceeds industry standards. Only 27% of charities we evaluate have received at least 3 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating EarthShare of Texas outperforms most other charities in America. This exceptional designation sets EarthShare of Texas apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.”
In response to the good news, Executive Director of EarthShare of Texas, Francoise Van Keuren commented, “This has been an incredible year for EarthShare of Texas. We thank Charity Navigator for this rating and our generous donors who make the work of transforming Texas towards a better future possible. Of course, our work is never done, and we will continue in our mission of supporting Texas environmental nonprofits finding local solutions to protect our environment.”
