EarthShare Texas is pleased to announce we’ve hired additional staff to our Marketing & Fundraising team. Welcome, Samuel Sanso and Josh Stafford-Geblein!

Sam Sanso EarthShare Texas Fundraising and Marketing Associate

Sam is our full-time Fundraising & Marketing Associate. He spearheads campaigns and special events including the upcoming #MyEarthMyTexas campaign as well as manages our social media presence. Josh is our part-time content writer for EarthShare Texas blogs, social media posts, and newsletter. Sam and Josh joined the team in the Fall of 2021 to help with EarthShare Texas’ expand its marketing and fundraising operations. Under the supervision of Executive Director, Francoise Van Keuren, and Marketing Manager, Lacie Levy, our team is expanding its outreach to better serve our non-profit members and meet our fundraising goals.

joshua stafford-gebleinWith a passion and background in nonprofit management and data analysis, Sam has worked for companies such as Apple and Google in arenas centering around data and content for strategy and deployment. “Working with EarthShare Texas seemed natural to me being a big advocate for the environment. My previous dedications were my own nonprofit efforts which relate to my current position. Being able to work with a tight-knit team to support the environment, I hope I can bring my existing experience and provide an impact.” That experience includes founding the organization Austin Film Project in which Sam curated social media campaigns. His efforts are currently focused on organizing this year’s #MyEarthMyTexas Campaign and Texas Business Sustainability Challenge. Be on the lookout for his great work, and we’re glad to have him contributing to our growing outreach.

New to the environmental and nonprofit sectors, Josh is a recent graduate of Belmont University with a Fine Arts degree in Film. He currently resides in New Mexico where he volunteers with a local nonprofit and works with the EarthShare Texas team online. “I am very pleased to be involved with EarthShare Texas as it means both I get to expand upon my writing experience and get to help encourage and broadcast the wonderful environmental efforts of EarthShare Texas and its members. Soon I shall travel to Texas and be involved in the efforts firsthand and am excited to get to meet the rest of the team.” Josh has been onboard helping create copy to highlight EarthShare Texas members, collaborates with Sam to create content for social media, and is on track to manage the website in the near future.

EarthShare Texas has big plans for 2022; plans to expand our outreach and extend our fundraising for members. This growth requires the skills and talents of our new employees as well as concentration on internal communication and functionality. We are glad to have Sam and Josh on board to help us achieve this. While EarthShare Texas is not currently hiring new team members, please keep an eye on our Jobs page for future opportunities either for our team or for the teams of our nonprofit members.
