Every Day is Earth Day!

Thanks to H-E-B and more than 14,000 H-E-B customers, $36,000 was contributed to support the work of 36 environmental and conservation organization in five areas of Texas.

Customers contributed by tearing off through $1, $3 or $5 coupons from these signs at check-out stands at more than 220 H-E-B and Central Market locations in Central Texas, Houston/Galveston, Gulf Coast, Border/Rio Grande and North Texas during the month of April!

What is Earth Share of Texas?

Earth Share of Texas is an umbrella organization of 70 local, state, national and international nonprofit environmental groups. Employees all across Texas can support Earth Share of Texas and its participating organizations through their payroll contribution plans. Contributions can also be made directly to Earth Share of Texas.

History

Earth Share of Texas began in 1992 as the Environmental Fund for Texas. A small group of the state's leading nonprofit environmental and conservation organizations combined their fundraising efforts to become a part of payroll contribution plans for public and private sector employees around the state.

In 1996, the environmental fund became a state partner of Earth Share, the nation's oldest and largest environmental workplace fundraising organization. Now, thanks to this partnership, Earth Share of Texas represents not only the best of Texas' environmental organizations, but the most reputable in the nation, as well.
