The Green Leaders Fellowship program strives to provide capacity relief for environmental nonprofits.

EarthShare Texas proposes a nuanced solution that addresses Green Workforce constraints while building the green leadership pipeline. The goal of the Green Leaders Fellowship is to foster a vibrant and diverse Green Workforce that will lead Texas in sustainable development, creating a positive impact in our communities and throughout our state. Nonprofits are encouraged to apply with a specific and impactful project that fellows can complete during their time as a Green Leaders Fellow.

With support from H-E-B, we are excited to bring the fellowship back for a third year!

AYRW is looking for a green leader to help them revamp their Field Trips & Presentations website page, create new outreach materials, and develop an effective communications strategy for the program.

Bat Conservation International: Community Partnerships Impact Fellowship

The Community Partnerships Impact Fellow will play a pivotal role in evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of BCI’s community partnerships program in San Antonio through both quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems: Multimedia Storytelling Fellowship

The Multimedia Storytelling Fellowship position will collaborate with CMPBS staff to produce materials that showcase 50 years of history and impact.

Keep Texas Beautiful: Recycling Research Fellowship

The fellow will expand the capacity of the Programs team, as well as the reach of the Keep Texas Recycling program, by identifying communities that want to recycle and determining what they need to start their recycling programs.

National Wildlife Federation: Education Resource Fellowship

The NWF Education Resources Fellow will help the Texas education team to link our Texas-based programs and collaborative efforts to EcoSchools US campaigns.

Sierra Club Lone Star Chapter: Digital Strategies Fellowship

Sierra Club’s 2025 Green Leaders Fellow (Digital Strategies Fellow) will work with our team to complete a digital media public education project focused on water & energy issues.

Travis Audubon: Habitat Restoration and Education Fellowship

The Habitat Restoration and Education Fellow will assist with land management tasks of Blair Woods, as well as the education programming that is scheduled on the property.

TreeFolks: Native Tree Nursery Fellowship

The Native Tree Nursery Fellowship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a nonprofit tree nursery while developing resources to help others replicate TreeFolks’ success.

Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance: 2025 Legislative Session Policy and Programs Fellowship

The Fellow will assist the GEAA Policy Director in their research projects and policy and advocacy writing and communications, and have the opportunity to attend legislative sessions with GEAA staff.

Environmental Defense Fund: Energy Transition Policy Fellowship

The Environmental Policy Fellowship offers individuals an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience and establish a strong foundation for a career in energy and environmental advocacy and policy.

The Green Leaders Fellowship is an equity-centered program that seeks to provide capacity support to EarthShare Texas’ nonprofit members by connecting them with skilled professionals such as yourself. When you apply to the EarthShare Texas Green Leaders Fellowship, you apply to manage and execute specific projects submitted by our nonprofit members.
